FREE | 9-12 YEAR OLDS LEARN TOUR GUIDE SKILLS
9-12 year olds learn tour guide and performance skills to lead their families through an exciting trail discovering beautiful artworks hidden around our space that tell the fascinating stories and influential characters of Union Chapel's 200+ year legacy.
Led by beloved and award-winning Mrs H Sings, who brings music and joy to communities up and down the country, these treasure hunts can build young confidence and are a perfect family day out to connect with collective heritage, local culture, stunning architecture, and how the past can inspire beautiful art of today. Workshops co-designed with Gideon Reeling.
What to expect?
10.45am - arrive with packed lunches*
11am - getting to know you, showing you the trail
12pm - rehearsing the trial
1pm - break for packed lunch
1.45pm - rehearsing the trial
2.20pm - the young tour guides lead their families on the trail
3.30pm - home time!
*Adults can just drop off your young tour guides at 10.45am with a packed lunch. Make sure you return at 2.15pm to enjoy their treasure trail! 3 family member attendees per young tour guide max.

About Organiser
Union Chapel
Since the Victorian era, Union Chapel has been hosting concerts and events, growing significantly in the 1990s. We now host around 200 events a year. Readers of Time Out have voted us London’s Favourite Venue an amazing three times.
We are proud to say that our venue is a little bit different. We have pews, amazing acoustics, sublime Victorian Gothic architecture and some really great gigs.
Our busy Bar and Kiosk serve thirsty gig goers at most events – so you can enjoy the show with a soft drinks and snacks or head up to the Bar and have a beer. And all the money raised goes to the restoration of the building.
We also have a wonderful team of staff and volunteers who work at all the gigs and events so say hello when you come along!
