Bright Start Islington is our name for services for under fives and their families and includes our Start for Life and Family Hubs offer.

Bright Start Islington is with you every step of the way, from pregnancy to a child’s fifth birthday. You can find services in children’s centres, nurseries, health centres, community centres and libraries across Islington.

Bright Start services are delivered in the North, Central and South areas. You can attend sessions in any area but for some services you will need to know which area you live in. You can use the local area finder to find out your area.

If you’re thinking of starting a family, if baby is on the way, or if baby has arrived, drop in to your local children’s centre or family hub to speak to staff, meet other parents and find out more about all the activities and support available for you and your young family.

- Baby on the way - Information and advice to help you stay healthy and prepare for the arrival of your baby.
- Free vitamins - In Islington, mums to be and those with a child under 1, and children aged 3 and under receive free vitamins.
- Family Support - Get information and advice from Bright Start staff.
- Parenting Programmes -Find courses for parents and carers.
- Children with SEND -Advice and services for under 5s with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Child Health Clinics - Find where your nearest child health clinic is in Islington.
